The Heavy-Duty Repair Transparency & Fairness Act
Proposed Federal Legislation to End Predatory Repair Pricing, Dealer-Locked Diagnostics and Predatory Towing.

A carrier-first bill for the people who hold up the supply chain.
About the proposed legislation
What it's about
In brief: the small carrier carries the freight but has almost no leverage when a repair or tow bill lands. This proposed federal bill sets out fixes in fourteen sections, including repair-price transparency, right to repair and diagnostic access, predatory towing reform, a Verified Repair Network, whistleblower protections and penalties.
The HD-RTFA is proposed federal legislation from Logistical Forwarding Solutions and Freight University. It is written to protect small independent carriers, the trucking companies that carry the nation's freight but hold almost no pricing power against the repair, parts, diagnostic and towing businesses that service them.
In fourteen sections it proposes national repair-pricing transparency, right to repair and diagnostic access, predatory towing and recovery reform, fair emissions-system repair, a Verified Repair Network, whistleblower protections, incentives for ethical independent shops and penalties for predatory practices. Its findings cite FMCSA data, public company filings and ATRI research.

Built into Freight University
Keep the carrier alive and growing.
Freight University teaches carriers to protect themselves today: budgeting for maintenance, knowing their rights, and documenting everything. The HD-RTFA is the same fight carried to Washington, so the rules stop working against the small carrier and a company that runs well can keep its trucks moving and grow.
